how did Valentine's Day in Brazil!!!!!

The June 12, for many days is considered one of the most "romantic" of the year. It would be the present or the love, affection or complicity of the couples?

Valentine's Day is known in much of the world as Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day.

Its origin has possible versions based on Christian tradition and the Catholic church. The Catholic Church recognizes three saints named Valentine, all reminded on February 14.

Among the many legends that have emerged over the centuries, the version propagated mind that around the year 270 the Roman emperor Claudius II banned the celebration of marriage, believing that single men would be best combos in times of try- war. A priest in Rome, Valentino, not agreed to the prohibition, followed by marrying his parishioners even secretly. Discovered was arrested and sentenced to death by beheading on 14 February.

To celebrate the courage of the priest, who later became a saint, the date of his death came to be celebrated as Valentine's Day.

The Catholic Church ceased to celebrate Valentine's Day in 1969 by doubting his identity and even its existence.

In Brazil, the origin date was not very romantic, being chosen on June 12 from 1949, when one of the pioneers of the Brazilian advertising Bahia John Doria (1918-2000) brought the idea from abroad, and presented to merchants Sao Paulo . As June was a month of disappointing sales in trade, decided to commemorate the date, chose the eve of St. Anthony, the saint.

The ad campaign's slogan was: "Not only kisses that proves love," so the agency created the day with a Valentine's in Brazil.

Happiness for the fashion marketers caught on and in the years following went on to celebrate June 12 as Valentine's Day in Brazil.

Cheers to couples in this and every day of the year.
